Project overview
Joko leverages the power of storytelling and blockchain to enable musicians to connect with their fans and earn significant revenue compared to traditional DSPs. I designed the early version of the product that received a grant from the Tezos Foundation, built the landing page in Webflow, and recently completed the V2 version set to launch soon.
The goal was to design a platform that helps musicians earn more and connect deeper with their fans using storytelling and blockchain technology.
My role
I worked as the product designer responsible for the product’s early UX and visual direction. I also built and launched the landing page using Webflow to help communicate the product vision and attract early interest from the music and blockchain community.
The goal was to design and develop a scalable MVP that could communicate Joko’s Web3 vision to both artists and fans.
The problem
Joko is pioneering a new type of marketplace on the Tezos blockchain that leverages storytelling to enable musicians to earn more and create a deeper connection with their fans.
However, Web3 is often intimidating for people who lack technical knowledge or crypto experience.
The product needed to appeal to a wide audience, including users who are curious about Web3 but want to interact through simple, story-driven experiences rather than complex blockchain processes.
People’s perception of Web3 included:
“Web3 apps are too complicated.”
“How do I buy NFTs?”
“What’s a wallet?”
“Will I lose my money?”
Simplify Web3 for non-technical users while maintaining the storytelling essence of the platform.
Other marketplaces on Tezos
Most marketplaces built on the Tezos blockhain are a bit complex to navigate for someone with no experience compared to others. I took cues from these marketplaces to focus on flows that the users will need to do and navigate at the same time inform them about general blockchain knowledge so they don’t leave the marketplace without learning anything.

V1 landing page
Designed and built this landing page for Joko to gather feedback about their product idea to see if they had a market for it.

Solution
an intuitive user experience that makes blockchain features almost invisible to the user.
The interface prioritizes visual storytelling—artists can share their journeys through short films, music, and collectibles powered by smart contracts.
The design balanced creative storytelling with technical simplicity, positioning Joko as an entry point into Web3 for mainstream music fans.
To design an accessible Web3 experience that blends storytelling, usability, and trust.
Product V1
The client wanted an unorthodox look since they wanted to appeal to artists, musicians or any just interested in pop culture.

Product V2
After Joko got a grant from the Tezos foundation to grow the product they decided to do a redesign that featured a new product direction. I handled design end to end.

Impact
The project secured a grant from the Tezos Foundation, validating its creative and technical potential.
The MVP and landing page helped Joko attract early artist interest and position itself as a Web3 platform focused on storytelling rather than speculation.
The simplified user experience lowered the learning curve for non-crypto users and made it easier for artists to connect with fans through immersive stories.
Validated the concept, attracted early adopters, and establish trust in a complex Web3 environment.
